This movie looks pretty good and I love Frank Millers work. Though, I haven't read this graphic novel. Hopefully sometime before the movie comes out I'll pick it up. It seems that they're gonna do it like Sin City and have it almost exactly like the graphic novel. What are your thoughts on the movie?

The animation looks amazing. I want to go see this, but I'll probably just wait and buy it when it comes to Blu-Ray or Dvd.

Well comicfreak, since you haven't seen any of the trailers, I thought I'd post them here: Teaser TrailerTrailer 2(the second one is better, but they're both pretty much the same)

The movie looks awesome. And it really seems to have the same feel as the Sin City movie had. Instead of silver, it seems to have a gilded feel to it, which works really well. I'm really excited to see this movie.

That's basically the whole idea for the comic book. The 300 Spartans that held off an attack from the Persians, who numbered over 20 times the Spartan soldiers. Not the actual happenings, but the idea that 300 people did battle against thousands, and managed to do what was needed.
Funny things, during the Fall of the Mutants storyline in Uncanny X-Men 226, Wolverine states that they're Spartans, holding the ground near Thermopylae, making time for the Greeks to gather enough troops to fight against the Persians. The name of that issue? "Go tell the Spartans".
As a personal note, I would like to put up a few numbers from the Winter War between the Soviet Union and Finland that took place between November 30. 1939, and March 13. 1940. During the war that was 105 days long, here's a few numbers:
Soldiers in the war: Finland 250 000, 30 tanks and 130 planes. Against Soviet Union with 1 000 000, 3 000 tanks, 3 800 planes.
Casualties: Finland 26 662 killed, 39 886 wounded, 1 000 captured. Soviet Union: 126 875 killed (or missing), 264 908 wounded, 3 100 captured.

I know. This movie looks killer, literally. I wish they would've released the game on something besides PSP though, that really sucks.

"This is madness!" "Madness? This is SPARTA!"
Just that moment makes watching the movie all worth while.

It sucks that you have to wait... Hopefully it'll be worth the wait. I haven't got the chance to go see it yet, but I'll probably try it this weekend.
